More PJ DVD news

Pearl Jam in Pistoia, Italy
Billboard has some details on the upcoming Pearl Jam DVD, thus confirming it in a mainstream sense.

Details are still coming together at deadline, but it seems a sure bet that Pearl Jam fans will have a new live DVD via Rhino to play on repeat before the holidays are out.

It is well-known that photographer Danny Clinch filmed the band's concerts in Italy in the fall of 2006, which included such oddities as a complete, in-sequence performance of Pearl Jam's self-titled J album in Torino and a cover of Tom Waits' "Picture in a Frame" in Milan. This will be Pearl Jam's first concert DVD since 2003's "Live at the Garden," which hit No. 2 on Billboard's Top Music Videos chart.

As previously reported, frontman Eddie Vedder has penned a host of new songs that will be released in conjunction with the upcoming movie "Into the Wild" in September via J Records. Pearl Jam's lone remaining show of the summer will be at Lollapalooza in Chicago on Aug. 5.

London show

Pearl Jam
Was fantastic! Great night. 10 Club floor was just awesome. As far as crowd and having fun, it beat any show I've ever been too in the states. Great folks.

I ended up getting a poster before the show. Can't say that I would have bought it if i didn't go to the show, but since I was there, it's looks great to me. Since we we jumping around on the floor during the show, it got a bit banged up - but that's character from the show, right? Love it.

So, I've got a few songs on video. Nothing amazing, but I will post some stuff soon, probably after I get back to the States. I'm posting from a coffee shop in London as I write this.

Photoblogging - I actually had a shot of the poster 20 mintues before the doors opened, but I was unable to send photos around Wembley Arena for some reason. Once I was a good 400 yards away, I could send. It was odd. So, not shots during the show either.

Okay, that's all for now. What A great show. I'll remember this one for a long time. Thanks to all the great folks we met and had fun with at the show. Cheers!

VIDEO

Given To Fly. It's frantic - I was in the middle of a fun group of folks. Maybe you can tell how much fun everyone was having. Maybe you'll get a headache.

You got a toothbrush? We're going to London

Cousin Avi
Single Blog Theory is off to Europe! We'll be hitting Pearl Jam's London show while we are there and planning on photoblogging a bit of the show. So, be on the look out for photos on the photoblog page! We'll try to get you the first look at the show poster, merch booth and the madness that will be the Ten Club section on the floor of Wembley Arena.

Webcam Olympiahalle

Olympiahalle webcam
This is kinda cool... check out the webcam for tonight's show at Olympiahalle in Munich, Germany. In the photo above, it looks like our boys are doing soundcheck. According to a post on Red Mosquito, Inside Job, Love Reign O'er Me were have been sound checked. With The Who playing the same venue tomorrow night, could there be something special happening tonight? We'll see.

UPDATE: Here's the full soundcheck: Love Reign O'er Me (Boom only), Sad, Sometimes, Inside Job, LROM (full), Present Tense, Unemployable, Save You, God's dice, Gone. Sweet stuff. Would love to hear Sometimes in London!

Here's the actual feed. It will update regularly:

Video from Lisbon

The first videos are coming from Pearl Jam's 2007 European tour. Here's "Given To Fly" from the first night on the tour, Lisbon, Portugal:

It appears YouTube user, alittledropofpoison, is putting up a few videos from the show. Check 'em out.

UPDATE: Lots of video coming in on the Single Blog Theory video page.

UPDATE 2: There are some great photos up at Army Reserve. Check it!

Still no word on bootlegs. No word on posters, either. It appears that there was no poster for last night's show (festival show) but there's a pretty lame litho out there and it seems Brad Klausen's "Wave" poster is being re-used as a tour date poster. Word on other merch available at the shows is slowing coming out.

No '07 tour bootlegs?

Download?
Whoa, Pearl Jam blog, The Army Reserve, has posted a message they received from Ten Club this morning regarding the release of bootlegs for the 2007 European tour:

"Sorry, it is doubtful that there will be bootlegs available in the future for the 2007 tour. Should Pearl Jam decide to release these we’ll be sure to post a notice on the website.

Best,
10c"

Wow, this is a pretty big surpise. Chatter on PJ's message board indicates that 10c has said they don't know whether boots will be available or not. So, at this point, it's still up in the air until there is an official confirmation.

At the moment, you cannot purchase past bootlegs from Ten Club via the Basecamp system they have used the past two years. It's only speculation at this point, but it seems that Basecamp will no longer be handling bootlegs duties for Pearl Jam? Who knows - we could get an announcement about something tomorrow, or he next day, or whenever.

PNE vs PJ - Here's the deal

PNE vs PJ?

Emek, Jermaine Rogers & Justin Hampton
File this under "interesting". According to PNE's new website, there is upcoming news about PNE collaboration with Pearl Jam. Rock posters for the Euro tour? Could be cool. This would be a departure from PJs regular use of Ames Bros. and in-house artist Brad Klausen and akin to the posters produced for 2006's Australian tour, which featured artists from the land down under.

PNE is short for Post Neo Explosionism and is the rock poster super-group of Justin Hampton, Emek and Jermaine Rogers. You can learn more about them here.

Interpol opening for PJ in Europe

Interpol
According to Interpol's tour schedule for this summer, they will be opening for Pearl Jam at their Düsseldorf show on June 21.

This is of major interest to Single Blog Theory since we are headed to the London show a few days earlier, and Interpol is on our list of bands to see.

Now, we've actually heard some disappointing thing about Interpol live, but that's not deterring our enthusiasm... We are excited about possibly seeing them in London. That's just wishful thinking though, as nothing has been announced in terms of an open for that show. Pearl Jam has said in interviews that they have something special planned for the Wembley show, and we are looking forward to seeing what that is.

Linkin Park has been confirmed as PJ's opener in Poland on June 13.

That's right! Single Blog Theory will be heading over to Europe to catch PJ on the road. We picked up tickets to the show at Wembley Arena in London. Needless to say, we are pretty stoked! More details to follow. Of course, we will do our best to photoblog during the show and maybe catch a pre-party.
